Review? Steel yourself for this one. Steelrising is a Soulslike set in an alternative French revolution where robots are a thing. The game has a bigger focus on story and traversal than most in the genre, with the maps opening the more tools you unlock. Combat works well, and I liked that most weapon were found early on, but their abilities were overpowered, and the enemy variety was poor, even being repeated across mini bosses, this isn’t an issue for the main bosses, that are on the easier side. But unique and well designed. If you’re looking for a soulslike, you could do worse but there are certainly better out there.
