Who imagined it would be possible to Cosplay in Elden ring as your favourite anime characters? In the lands between, players forge their own destiny, you can embody characters like Zoro from One Piece, Saber, Gilgamesh, or Lancer from Fate, Guts from Berserk, Asta from Black Clover, Ichigo from Bleach, Ainz Ooal Gown from Overlord, Tanjiro from Demon Slayer, Madara Uchiha from Naruto, Satoru Gojo from Jujutsu Kaisen and much more.
For fantasy enthusiasts like myself, you can play as Kvothe from The Kingkiller Chronicles, Aragorn from The Lord of the Rings (or even a Nazgûl if you prefer), Tavi from Codex Alera, and FitzChivalry Farseer from the Farseer Trilogy. The possibilities are endless! Below, I’ll share a list of anime and fantasy book builds that I experimented with and which resonate with me.
Before diving in, let’s cover some basics.
How can I change my appearance in Elden Ring?
If you’ve already started a game, you can change your appearance anytime. Head to the Roundtable Hold, go through the third door into Fia’s Chambers, and there you’ll find the Clouded Mirror stand. You can change your detailed appearance there for free.
How do I re-spec my character in Elden Ring?
You can re-spec your character at Raya Lucaria by talking to Renalla, Queen of the Full Moon, after defeating her. This will cost one Larval Tear.
How do I cosplay as my favorite character in Elden Ring?
The easiest way is to install a cosmetic mod, which will transform your character into your desired character. However, using mods online can lead to a ban, so it’s safest to play offline when you have mods active.
If you prefer to stay vanilla, Elden Ring offers a plethora of armor pieces, weapons, and spells. It may take some exploring, but it’ll be worth it, and you’ll have plenty to show off to your friends!
Cosplaying Elden Ring Novel Characters
Kvothe the Arcane from The Kingkiller Chronicles
Kvothe is a talented musician and magician, marked by both triumph and tragedy. His charm and intelligence fuel his quest for knowledge and revenge, solidifying his legendary status.
Appearance: Red hair, green eyes,
Armor: Spellblade’s traveling attire (drops from Rogier at the Roundtable Hold)
Weapons: Golden order seal, and Flamberge (can be found in Redmane Castle)
Incantations: Honed Bolt(Purchased from Brother Corhyn after giving him the Dragon Cult Prayerbook), Death Lightning( Trade rememberance of Lichdragon at Roundtable Hold)
Speak the Name of Lightning and Lightning will obey!
Aragorn from The Lord of the Rings
Aragorn, the rightful heir to Gondor, is a natural leader and skilled ranger. His journey from Strider to king embodies themes of honor and sacrifice in the battle against Sauron.
Appearance: black knife hood,(found on a corpse in behind Ordina, Liturgical town in Consecrated Snowfield) and gravekeeper cloak (dropped from duelists in Leyndell), reflecting the rugged look of rangers.
Weapon: Lordsworns’s greatsword (found in a chest in a carriage, in Gatefront ruins)
Incantation: Assassin’s approach, Strider strides in silence.
FitzChivalry Farseer from The Farseer Trilogy
FitzChivalry, a royal bastard and assassin, navigates political intrigue with a unique bond to animals and mastery of Skill magic. His journey revolves around loyalty and justice in a morally complex world.
Appearance: Royal Remains armor (dropped from Ensha of the Royal Remains in the roundtable hold)
Weapon: Warped axe (can be dropped from omens wielding this weapon), Kukuri
Incantation: Assassin’s approach incantation which makes you silent, fitting for an assassin. (Purchase from Brother Corhyn after giving him the Assassin’s Prayerbook)
Elden Ring Anime Characters
Ainz Ooal Gown from Overlord
Once known as Momonga, Ainz is an undead overlord and strategic leader of Nazarick, possessing immense power(immense is an understatement)
Appearance: Skeletal look, make the character as pale as possible
Armor: Sanguine Noble hood,(dropped by sanguine noble in consecrated snowfield) Alberich robe (main hall of fortified manor in Leyndell)
Weapon: Prince of Death’s staff (In a tower in the Nameless Eternal City)
Spells: All the broken Incantations in the game.
Talismans: Dragoncrest Greatshield Talisman, Spelldrake Talisman, Flocks Canvas Talisman, Radagon Icon, Opaline Bubbletear and Opaline Hardtear in Wonderous Physick.
You will not dodge while cosplaying as Ainz Ooal Gown. It is Blasphemy against the Supreme One. You are strong enough to eat the most powerful hits with no damage.
Zoro from One Piece
Zoro from one of the best anime (One Piece!) is a dedicated swordsman and Luffy’s first crewmate, striving to become the world’s greatest swordsman with his three-sword style. You cannot use 3 weapons at once in Elden Ring, so you’ll have to settle with the two-sword style.
Appearance: Green hair, scar on the left eye, muscular body and everyone loves to cosplay Zoro in elden ring
Armor: Traveler’s clothes resembling Zoro’s Alabasta saga outfit. Found in a room adjacent to Haligtree Roots site of grace.
Weapons: Uchigatana (found in deathtouched catacombs in Limgrave) and Nagakiba (Complete Bloody Finger Hunter Yura’s questline)
Tanjiro Kamado from Demon Slayer
Tanjiro is a compassionate young man on a quest to avenge his family and cure his sister Nezuko, who has turned into a demon. His empathy allows him to connect with others, even enemies.
Appearance: Maroon hair, Maroon eyes, scar on forehead (To get his scar, select tattoo 3 and change vertical position to 245), Tanjiro is one of the most famous anime characters that gamers love to cosplay in elden ring
Armor: Alberich robe (altered) which can be found in the main hall of fortified manor in Leyndell
Weapon: Moonveil katana. Get it by defeating Magma Wyrm, located in Gael tunnel in Caelid.
Gilgamesh from Fate Series
Gilgamesh, the King of Heroes, is proud,arrogant and possesses a vast collection of Noble Phantasms.His Arrogance is justified by the sheer power he possesses.
Appearance: Golden hair, Red eyes
Armor: Tree Sentinel armor (altered) (found in Azuria Hero Grave Dungeon), guardian bracers, Malformed dragon greaves(dropped by draconic tree sentinel in crumbling farum azula).
Weapon: the golden order seal and Antspur Rapier.
Spells: Carian Phalanx, Founding Rain of Stars, Magic Downpour, Loretta’s Mastery, Radagon’s Rings of Light, Triple Rings of Light, Fortisaxx’s Lightning Spear.
Saber (Artoria Pendragon) from Fate Series
Once King Arthur, Saber embodies chivalry and honor, wielding Excalibur as a heroic spirit in the Holy Grail War.
Appearance: Female, Fair skinned, Blonde hair, Green Eyes.
Armor: knight armor (can be bought from the twin maiden husks at the Roundtable Hold), snow witch skirt, (Progress through Ranni’s questline, found at top of Renna’s Rise)
Weapon: Sword of Night and Flame is the closest sword in-game to excaliber. (Found in a chest in Caria Manor)
Ash of War: Golden Vow on another knife.
Incantations: Holy Incantations.
Asta from Black Clover
Asta, a determined orphan, dreams of becoming the Wizard King despite lacking magic. His relentless spirit showcases that hard work can surpass innate talent.
Appearance: White hair, Green eyes and muscular body
Armor: Leather armor, Exile greaves.
Leather Armor is dropped by Patches in Limgrave upon killing him, Exile greaves can be found at Stormveil Castle,
Weapons: Gargoyle’s Black Blade (dropped by Black Blade Kindred at the Forbidden Lands) and Maliketh’s Black Blade which can be acquired by trading Maliketh’s remembrance with Enia at the Roundtable Hold.
Guts from Berserk
Guts is a formidable warrior shaped by loss and resilience, battling fate with the Dragon Slayer and Berserker Armor. Fromsoft references Berserk in almost all of their titles, in Elden ring, the greatsword is clearly inspired by Guts’ greatsword and the sword graves are also inspired from Berserk. Blaidd, a NPC in Elden Ring is eerily similar to Guts.
Appearance: Black hair ,One-armed Big muscular guy, Horizontal scar on nose
Armor: Night’s Cavalry Armor set. Kill the two Night’s Cavalry escorts at the Consecrated Snowfield (they only appear at night).
Weapon: The Greatsword is located in Northwestern Caelid, Inside the chest in the back of the Carriage guarded by giant dogs
Ash of War: Lion’s Claw Ash of War, dropped from the Lion guarding enemy at fort Gael
Ichigo Kurosaki from Bleach
Ichigo, a high school student turned Shinigami, protects both the living and the dead while confronting formidable foes.
Appearance: Orange hair, Muscular build, fair skin.
Armor : Blue Silver Mail arm,Kill Latenna while she sits beside her wolf at Slumbering Wolf’s Shack in Liurnia of the Lakes, (Fia’s robe is a good Alternative and maybe more accurate, but I don’t think Ichigo is into cross-dressing)
Weapons: Use the Butchering Knife for Shikai and the Nagakiba for bankai.
The butchering knife is dropped by Anastasia, Tarnished-Eater (She invades as you approach the Smoldering Church in Caelid)
You will get the Nagakiba once you complete Bloody Finger Hunter Yura’s questline.
Ash Of War: Vaccum Slice (apply this to the Butchering Knife) Inside the ruined temple surrounded by waterfalls Southwest from the Across the roots site of grace at the bottom level in Deeproot Depths
Flash Step in Bleach was an iconic battle technique, known for its impressive visual flair. You can replicate this in Elden Ring using Bloodhound’s Step. This Ash of War is dropped by a Night’s Cavalry located at the bridge in front of Lenne’s Rise tower in Dragonbarrow.
Bonus Build: Wolverine from X-Men
Wolverine, or Logan, is a mutant known for his healing powers, retractable claws, and fierce fighting skills
Appearance: Brown hair, brown eyes, tanned skin
Armor: No Armor (go shirtless)
Weapon: Hookclaws, Located in Stormveil Catle.
Talisman: Blessed dew Talisman (gradually restores your HP) Located at the Tower of Return in Weeping Peninsula.

Madara Uchiha
This mod replaces the Crucible Armor set, the Bloodhound’s fang and the Dragonclaw incantation so you will need to acquire them to activate this mod.
