Open World video games have taken the gaming world by storm, with most of the anticipated games and the most memorable games are often ones that allow you to travel in a vast open world.
Even if a game is not strictly open world, it could still allow you to travel. The most popular and loved forms of travel in games are cars and trains.
We asked the community about their most favorite games that let you ride a train to travel around the map, and compiled those into a list for our readers’ pleasure.

Set in the fictional metropolis of Night City, California, within a dystopian Cyberpunk universe, the game immerses players in a sprawling open-world environment. You assume the role of V, a mercenary with a cybernetic “bio-chip” containing the engram of legendary rockstar and terrorist Johnny Silverhand (voiced by Keanu Reeves). As Johnny’s memories begin overwriting V’s own, the two must work together to separate and save V’s life.

You control the city’s infrastructure in real time: manipulate traffic lights to cause a 30-car pileup, stop a train and hop aboard to evade authorities, or swiftly raise a drawbridge to escape capture. Anything connected to the ctOS (central operating system) becomes your weapon.
